Voysey Usage Policy
Effective date: September 27, 2026
Last updated: September 27, 2026
This policy is part of the Voysey Terms of Service. It explains what you can make with Voysey, the few things you cannot do, and how we enforce it.
Voysey is a tool
Voysey is a professional creative instrument, in the same way a camera, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, or a word processor is. What you make with it is your decision and your responsibility.
We built Voysey on a different premise from most AI companies. Many AI products restrict lawful subject matter because of how a headline might read, and treat every adult as someone who has to be protected from ideas. We think that gets it backwards. Filmmakers, novelists, musicians, and artists have always worked with violence, war, sex, crime, addiction, faith, politics, grief, cruelty, and everything else people actually live through. A tool for making that work should not second guess the people using it.
So we do not restrict subject matter, themes, genres, or artistic choices. Mature content, dark and challenging stories, controversial ideas, violence, horror, satire, and explicit adult content between adults are all legitimate uses of Voysey. Stories about young people and the hard things that happen to them, such as coming of age dramas, war films, and stories about abuse and its aftermath, are legitimate uses too.
If it is legal, you can make it.
What we require
Lawful use. You are responsible for making sure what you create, publish, and distribute is lawful where you are and where you publish it. Laws differ by country and state and change over time. We are not your legal advisor; if you are not sure something is lawful, ask one.
Rights to what you upload. You need the rights and permissions for the material you bring into Voysey.
Honest use of your account. Your account is yours alone. Do not share credentials, create accounts by automated means, or misrepresent who you are to us.
The one absolute content prohibition
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is prohibited. This includes any sexual or sexualized depiction of a minor, whether real, AI generated, drawn, animated, or described, and any content that sexualizes a character presented as or appearing to be a minor, regardless of a stated age.
This is not an editorial choice. It is illegal everywhere we operate, and federal law requires us to report it. We run automated screening on prompts and on generated images and video, on our own infrastructure and on the third party providers we route work to, to detect it before it is stored or delivered. When the screening is uncertain about the age of a person in sexual content, it blocks the output.
Accounts that attempt to generate CSAM are terminated immediately and permanently, without appeal. We preserve the relevant records and report them to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and to law enforcement as the law requires.
Protecting the platform
These rules protect the service and everyone who uses it. They are not about what you create.
You may not:
- Attempt to extract, copy, reverse engineer, or replicate our models, weights, prompts, pipelines, or training data, or use Outputs or the Services to build a competing model or service.
- Circumvent credits, usage limits, rate limits, access controls, or security measures, or exploit a bug to get free or discounted usage.
- Create or operate accounts by automated means, or create multiple accounts to get around limits or enforcement.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Services or our API to others without our written permission.
- Interfere with or overload our infrastructure, or disrupt the Services for other users.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without our written permission. (Report vulnerabilities to [email protected]. We welcome good faith research.)
- Use the Services to distribute malware or to carry out attacks on other systems.
- Use a stolen payment method or commit payment fraud, including abusing chargebacks.
Identity tools
Voysey includes powerful identity tools, including character identity locking and voice cloning. You can use them to create original characters, to depict yourself, and for any other lawful purpose.
Whether you need someone's permission to depict their face, likeness, or voice depends on where you are, where you publish, and what the work is. Right of publicity, privacy, defamation, fraud, election, and synthetic media laws apply to what you make and how you use it, and several jurisdictions now regulate realistic synthetic depictions of real people, particularly intimate ones. Know the rules where you live and publish. You carry the responsibility for that, as the Terms explain.
If you believe content on a Voysey surface uses your likeness or voice unlawfully, report it as described below.
Third party providers
Some generation jobs run on third party model providers, as the Terms explain. Those providers apply their own content rules, and occasionally a provider will decline a job that is lawful and permitted on Voysey. A declined job does not use your credits.
Publishing elsewhere
If you make something lawful that another platform will not accept, that is between you and that platform. Our job is to help you make it. Where and how you publish is your decision.
Reporting
Report suspected CSAM, abuse of the platform, copyright infringement, or unlawful use of your likeness or voice to [email protected]. Copyright notices go to our designated agent as described in the Terms. Include enough detail for us to find the content. We review every report, and we act on content only when it violates the law, this policy, or the Terms.
Enforcement
We do not act on content because of anyone's taste, morality, politics, or discomfort. We act when there is a legal obligation, a violation of this policy, or a valid legal complaint.
- CSAM: immediate permanent termination, preservation of records, and a report to NCMEC and law enforcement. No appeal.
- Unlawful content on a Voysey surface, including valid copyright, likeness, and court ordered takedowns: the content is removed or disabled. Repeat violations lead to suspension or termination.
- Platform abuse: a warning for a first minor violation, suspension for repeat violations, and termination for serious or persistent abuse. Serious abuse, such as fraud or attacks on our systems, may lead to immediate termination.
When we terminate an account for a violation, no refund is due for plans or credits.
Appeals
If you believe we suspended your account or removed your content in error, email [email protected] within 30 days. A person, not an automated system, reviews every appeal. Terminations for CSAM cannot be appealed.
Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the product before it takes effect. If the law changes, we will comply, and we will update this policy to say so.
